Hive Thrall and Halo Grunt questions

So, I'm wanting to make some customs based on some characters from the original TMNT comic, and I need a taller figure with long arms and legs; and a very short one. Looking amongst mega construx sets I think the Destiny Hive Trall and Halo Grunt might work for those, but what I don't know is: how much different are they? Do the arms and legs of those figures attatch the same as regular figures (can they be swapped out with human/humanoid figures?) If not I might have to opt for Despicable Me 3 adults and children, but appearance wise the others would look closer.

I know that the thrall can be swapped with other normal figs (except for the legs), but I'm not too sure about the grunts...

Grunt arms don't have elbow joints, but they can be plugged into any figure.

Thanks for the input on grunts and thralls, Spartanz19 and TacticalSponge. I think they just might work for my customs, now I'll play the waiting game for them to come in the mail.

Admiral-Sabree I never saw any post from you except this one, although I know I had seen a response to one of my suggestions for new sets on the site, then looked back the next day and it was gone. What had you wrote? Just wondering.

Pointed out the poor quality of the thrall as there legs tend to break. Said they have reversed ball joints and that they wouldn't work for what you were trying anyway. Then I said the grunt arms should work fine.

Thanks Admiral-Sabree. After reading the other comments I took a look at the instructions for a set with thrall and set with a grunt, and I think I'll use the thrall arms but 3 part articulated legs from Sword of Sanghelios set to get a taller figure (where I'm also getting a grunt from). And although I got no answer on if the grunt legs will work or not (they appear the same, but maybe are smaller?) I thought I'd take a chance, as there are other pieces in the set that I could use for things.
