Because I wanted it to accommodate larger figures, like Cabal and Hunters. The Signature Series Spirit that I based the design off of only included elites and grunts.

Yes, I did. This was an issue of design, not scale.

What I do in a one-off custom build doesn't have any bearing on my views towards the actual line.
