Why is the distribution for Breakout Beasts so bad?

I can't find Breakout Beasts at any reputable online retailers (Wal-Mart, Target, Best Buy, etc..). The only people selling these online seem to be shady scalpers. Do you think that some day you could re-issue the entire series in a repackaged format (maybe all of series 1 in a set, series 2 in a set, etc.. w/o the slime/eggs) and have Wal-Mart, Target, etc.. sell them online? It's difficult for some of us to go toy hunting for these, especially if we have no idea where to look!
