How can I stop joint rubbing?

I have an issue where the paint I put on a figure will scrap off when I move the joints. What steps can I take to stop this?

This is the problem that’s almost shut down my custom making. I’m experimenting with dyeing pieces that rub a similar color to what your painting.

I usually sand the edges of the inner piece that pegs into the arm to reduce friction then seal it with a bit of superglue after painting. I've been experimenting with gorilla glue with decent results as well.

Sand the components before painting. That's all there is to it.

Personally, I don't paint the joints. I find either forearms that have a similar color to what I'm painting, or I go with gray or silver for the forearms and forelegs.
