Fireteam Glory Part 4
Smoke was never a good sign on an op like this. Ivanoff drove faster. When they reached the source of the smoke, they discovered Larry and Booth's Warthog. It was riddled with bullet holes and the windshield was smashed to pieces. Ivanoff jumped out of the vehicle, ordering Teresa to do the same. He ran to the wreck. He prepared to see his comrades dead in the vehicle. But, when he looked, there weren't any bodies. Ivanoff looked around. There wasn't much, he saw signs of a struggle, bullet casings, and Larry's helmet. He grabbed Larry's helmet. It had been smashed, and a little blood was on the side. Santos yelled from the Warthog turret, "Boss! I see tire tracks and footprints!" Ivanoff walked to the road and saw the tracks. He knelt by the tire tracks, he identified them as Spade tracks. He sighed and said, "I think we're dealing with Innies." Teresa said, "Looks like they went further up the trail." Ivanoff began walking back to the Warthog. "Then that's were we go as well." He said. They got back into the Warthog and drove the same way the tracks went.
