Upload the project, and wait at least half an hour (preferably an hour).
By then, the mods should have decided that your post will get through.
You need to do the [gallery] thing here.
If your post has been accepted, it won't appear on the front page straight away, but you'll be able to access it from your profile and hopefully from the link.
If it doesn't work try this again after every half-hour.
If it still doesn't work and your post appears at the front page, then either you got unlucky, or it doesn't work anymore.
