RayLancer I used a different method of washing on this guy. I put on the wash and then lightly sanded the entire figure. I was able to do this due to just washing over bare plastic. If I'd have had a base coat I would have just washed and left it or risk removing the base coat when sanding. This really lets the recesses stand out. I finish all my stuff in a flat or satin clear, to keep it from scraping or rubbing off.

Wow, the washes just stick to the plain plastic like that? I'm still new to the hobby but that looks really nice. Did you have to use any kind of finish on any custom work you do?

Just jump in and do it. Don't be afraid of messing up, it's part of the learning process. I can't possibly count the mistakes I've made :) Have fun and enjoy it!

I love these customs but don't think I'll ever be able to work up the courage to even start painting one of my figures. :(

Citadel Drakenhof Nightshade right out of the pot. One single coat, so as not to tint the surfaces too dark.
