About the project
There are many reasons why I love this figure. I didn't know most of these when I fell in love with the figure for the first time. I really didn't even know why I liked it. But now I do. Firstly, red is my favorite color, other than black. Second, the tapered design of scout armor, particularly the head, is literally so tasty to look at. Third, this was one of the first figures to have a black outline of the visor; something all figures deserve these days.
Now, what does this figure have to do with my storytelling? It was the first figure I gifted a name; a name I no longer remember. The figure originally represented a female, until it later represented me. For some reason, the name "Z19" sounded cool to me, and it stuck since. He later appeared in The Imperial Campaign, my writing-child, and has had several cameos in other stories.
This figure has represented me for nearly five years now. Five. Years. That's a long time. Now, I know I have less presence than I used to, back in the olden days, but the crimson scout is instantly correlated to me, and that makes me so happy! In a community where we can't see each other's faces or bodies, it is nice to have something to recognize them by.
Moral of the story? We should all have a signature figure. Something the other members can cling to! With no face, it's hard to create a relationship with others. I hope you guys enjoyed this little discussion, I love you all, see ya!
