About the project
At last, the blood, sweat, and tears that we had poured into this with the thousands of lives we had lost, would pay off.
Bush Industries had seen it was outmatched. We would go back home to the Nargo galaxies, back to our families.
The last order we were given?
Raise the flag of the Nargoian United Galaxies on the battlefield. Our last act of triumph and defiance.
Was it a victory? Yes, but not just for us, for the enemy too.
The war was finally ending, and with it, the bloodshed."
-a Nargoian Marine
"At first I couldn't believe it. It was finally over? "
That seemed like a cruel April fools joke to play on us.
We could still see needles shards, fuel rods, and plasma beams firing at us over our entrenched positions.
Yet, after a few minutes, they stopped too.
I poked my head out of the Trench, and lo and behold, all the bush infected were out of their trenches and walking back into bush industries, leaving their weapons behind.
We did the same, leaving our guns behind too, and marching towards the forward command post.
As we left, we could see a UNG flag being hoisted up on a pole.
Was it really a victory? It didn't feel like it."
"What can I say, I'm glad it's over? Meh, I wish I could've burned more bushes."
-Drill Sargent Ralph
I'll post Bush Wars' last chapter, and it'll be pretty emotional stuff.
