Four jam-packed days of fun has come to an end and like many of you who were there, we’re exhausted from all of the nerding out we did at San Diego Comic-Con this year! For those of you who weren’t able to attend in person, here’s a recap filled with everything that went down at the Mega Construx™ booth.
We had three major attractions this year: A larger-than-life Halo drop pod, a fig wall made up of our micro action figures, and life-sized version of the four starter Pokémon! Here are some facts on these epic builds:
1. The Halo drop pod was built by one probuilder, who used over 175,650 bricks!
2. The four starter Pokémon took two probuilders 184,500 bricks to create!
3. There are over 1,500 figures in the micro action figure wall, and we snuck in a sneak peek at Series 1 of our Mega Construx Heroes line of micro action figures right in the middle!
4. Fans who came to see the drop pod, were able to take a picture while inside of it, AND got to hold the new Halo M45D Tactical Blaster.
On Friday we had the pleasure of sponsoring the “Bungie’s Destiny” panel, moderated by Luke Smith and featuring special guest Lance Reddick, the voice of Commander Zavala. Passionate Destiny fans who showed up to the panel were treated to exclusive looks at some behind the scenes footage. Afterwards, fans who attended the panel were invited to an exclusive signing and given a Destiny Kubros.
On Saturday our friends at Anvil Station (a Halo cosplay organization) stopped by our booth to greet fans and take some pictures around our drop pod. Thank god the Spartans were there to take care of the flood that showed up!
Throughout the weekend we gave fans the chance to see some of our Fall 2017 sets up close and personal. Attendees even got to check out Halo Heroes Series 5, which releases in September and celebrates the 10th anniversary of Halo 3—a perfect addition to any Halo fan’s collection!
For us however, the biggest highlight of the weekend was meeting our fans in person. So many passionate Beyonders™ came to our booth with questions and suggestions for the future. With fans like you behind us, we know the future is bright!
Thanks for helping to make this SDCC an amazing experience, and we’ll see you in 2018!
