The Main body of the shade turret is structurally weak, and the two clips that hold the 2 'turret' parts in place break off easily. To make matters worse, we're not allowed to order replacement parts for the body because it's got coloring, and in manual is labeled starting with AS. I had bought 1, but a few days later it broke. I bought a second one, and this one has broken as well. Both air assaults have also broken, and all I have left to show for the set are both the grunts. Wish I could go higher, because I love the set, but sadly I can't due to quality.

Everything in this set is great except for the main attraction - the Shade turret. Both figures are massible and they look good, and all the included accessories are neat, especially the rare Jetpack (my set also included a bunch of extra pieces which I found very useful). But the Shade turret's cannons and side panels are too flimsy (which can be partially fixed with a couple of 1x2 plates and jumper pieces as I figured out). I also don't like the fact that you can angle the cannons up and down independently, which adds up to the overall flimsiness. This was the first Mega Bloks Halo set I got and it didn't impress me much at that time, though now I came to appreciate it more. The Shade turret is a great addition to your custom Covenant bases (especially if you modify it a little bit), so you can easily ignore my nitpicking.

This was a awesome set that I used to have. When I had it, the turret part keeping it upright was a bit loose, so it rolled off from time to time. Me and one of my friends nicknamed this turret "The Rolling Purple Ball Of Death." We called shade turrets that ever since, and we still do.
