A lot of Covenant-centric sets in the Fall 2012 line seem to run on one constant: Elites look good in red. The Crimson Combat Unit is no exception, giving us a Crimson Elite that can go from normal to Pilot/Commando to Honor Guard with the included armory pieces. The new-mold Crimson Grunts are no slouches either - just watch what they're doing with the two lit Plasma Grenades!

A highly sought-after army-filler, and for good reason between the many weapon options and the ornate (bordering on Signature Series) detailing on the Honor Guard kit and Energy Stave.

upon purchasing this set i expected it to be like any old combat unit but what i got was more than that. The armory pieces may look like some figures from the past but the pilot is slightly different. The grunts were nice in the new mold but one problem i had was the grunts olny had 1 gun, witch meant the other had to be a suicide bomber type. The honor guard was defiantly well built with rubber pieces on the helmet rather than plastic witch would break off. The staff and extra weapons offered choices on what to arm the elite with, or what armor to use. All and all this is a great set and i recommend it highly.
