One of the brute's hands wouldn't fit onto the left forearm. I got a bowl of water and warmed it up in the microwave for a minute; I warmed it up again for another minute and put the brutes forearm in the water for about 10 seconds, then took it out and felt it it had become soft, which it did. I was able to put the hand into the forearm, thankfully. I guess it's a good thing that I grabbed this set as opposed to someone else grabbing this, not knowing the warm water trick and probably loosing the hand and/or tossing the figure in the bin, if people do that.
The red weapons I think really help this set stand out; they contrast really well with the grey and black of the razorback. They also compliment the brutes purple armor. The paint applications on the figures are a very nice touch, it would've been nice if the marine had gotten a little bit more paint, but it's acceptable. The razorback looks really nice, the subtle and eligible prints are great, there are places to store your weapons on it and the few red pieces and prints really add to it.
Kelly's head/helmet felt a bit stiff on the ball joint, also the shotgun's grip felt a bit tightin her hands, same with the marine; The battle rifle felt a bit loose, for both figures. I also think there's something not right with the hands, as of recently most of the figures felt like there hands don't want to grip their weapons.
I felt this set was a bit overpriced; If it was a little bit less than I would probably pick up another one sometime soon. The box (and by extension the bags) while nicely designed felt a bit too big for the amount of pieces per bag. Maybe if this set perhaps came with another figure, or a small amount of terrain for the Banished then maybe I would've felt more comfortable with the price.
Not a bad set, wouldn't mind getting another one of these especially if it had a lower price tag, although the brute's hand not fitting into the forearm out of box, I find unacceptable.
