this is the baseline vehicle for the unsc, and mega has given us many over the year, while i am not a fan of the 343 era style, i prefer the aesthetics of the bungie era warthog this hog is no slouch, by far the beefiest suspension system on a hog to date, the previous hog(Warthog Run GFT55) had a very wimpy and not very effective suspension, this one is on par for the strength of the old clips found in the UNSC Attack Gausshog CNG66 but has a nice bounciness and re-activeness that set was missing. Its a very solid warthog and set. now the alt build i have a few gripes with, while it is a nice build and a nice boat it has one major flaw it doesnt have an additional set of AM80745MM for the build, now you may be wondering how thats an issue, well if you wanted to have a set of the snazzy new suspension for an older hog you cant get that and have the boat.

ok on to figures now, you get a pair of jackals which is great they need to always come in pairs just like hunters, if they arent special(say a sniper) or in a blind bag or heroes pack they need to come in pairs. the marine that comes in is nice and generic but it is the now old tall variant(newer marines now have shorter top leg sections to make them shorter then spartans). comes with one master chief now im a bit torn but i think there are too many sets with master chief and this one could have done without him. we had the vs pack(GNW38), this warthog, Defense Point Showdown(GNB27), Pelican Inbound(GNB28), and the most recent Halo Heroes 13(GVP37). this chief is lacking where those are interesting(halo heroes chief excluded as hes the same as this one). if i had a say on what chief should have been replaced with id say an odst or something in that vein.

ok so is this set worth the asking price of 29.99usd, i have to say no i think the set is asking 5 too much. i feel the sweet spot for this set is around 24.99(which is what i bought my first of these sets for), as much as the set gives the price structure is pretty straight forward and with a set like Recon Getaway(GNB40) to compare to it makes the 29.99msrp a bit high, so the basic price structure is 3usd per generic figure, 5usd for figures with proper detailing, so you subtract that from the total and the set price for the bricks is then shown, Recon Getaway is an amazing value set following this formula as you get a mongoose for 3usd and four figures equaling 12usd, 123 piece set thats pretty good. now lets take a look at Turret Takedown(GRM99)s price structure, its a similar low cost set 2 figs 98 pieces and it totals at 9.99usd, its priced fairly similar to Recon Getaway, 6usd for figs 4usd for bricks. now enters the warthog 12usd for the figs, but that leaves 18usd for the hog and at only 314pieces, while yes alot of the pieces are larger, now lets assume about 100 bricks is 4usd at most lets say 5usd, so total 12-15usd for the warthog, i dont think that justifies the massive divergence from the formula which is why i feel the 24.99 is more correct for the set. that said if you can find it 25 or lower buy this set.

overall thoughts, great main build, lacking secondary build, a good selection of figures, priced a bit high but if you can find it for 25 or less it is a must buy

The build is absolutely perfect, I love the look and it’s one of the most accurate Warthogs to date. The figures included are great, and the Master Chief is just amazing. Although I wish it had maybe a Grunt and a Jackal instead of Two Jackals, or maybe a Grunt, Jackal, and the brute from the Skiff set. I’d give it a 4/5, it would be a 5/5 if it had different Banished figures, like I said, a Grunt and a Jackal instead of Two Jackals, or maybe a Grunt, Jackal, and the brute from the Skiff set would’ve been 10x better.
