Love it for the nostalgia, but this hornet could almost never stay in one peice. Always popped out of it's studs everytime I tried to stand it up. Good start for what was to come later.

I finally have this and I can say it’s... fine.

The colour scheme is gorgeous, a wonderful smokey grey and silver palette.

The figures are alright, a bit run of the mill but it was the 2009 line, what were you expecting?

The build itself is alright, a bit stiff and solid but fine, no articulation on the rotors etc, but it still looks good in display, the cockpit piece is cool. I don’t like the odd large but that sticks out the back for stability though, just looks out of place, but it is holding the comically sized gun on.

But obviously, the elephant in the room is the poor part quality. It’s not as bad as people say, but a good few parts of it just up and fall off if you touch them, easily hw worst halo set for that.

It’s not as bad as people say, and it’s a beautiful set, not worthy of a full five stars, but worth so much more than the many one stars it’s been getting. Three stars from me, would buy again!

This was one of my first Megabloks sets
I will start by saying in 2009 that was impressive and if you looked at it it was a hornet.
Whilst other versions of the hornet were far better this was good for a new born company. It functioned just fine and it was nice to have Spartans and not marines.
The grunts were niece but I would have preferred a small AA turret or something this earns it
